Explore New York City through service, field projects, and the subway system...

Each Spring, first–year Honors Program Scholars have the opportunity to spend one week in New York City. This trip is entirely funded by the program. The trip is a part of the Honors Transitions II class designed to compliment and enrich what students learned in the classroom with real world experiences. In New York City, Scholars have the opportunity to visit top attractions (Statue of Liberty, Time Square, Ellis Island), eat Brooklyn style pizza, work on service projects with a local organization, and network with Emory & Henry alumni. Additionally, Scholars work in groups to build upon the research projects that they worked on during their Transitions II course.

...it was an amazing and unforgettable trip that I will always cherish. The trip was a great blend of learning, gaining experiences, and creating a closer bond with the cohort.
